19 sleeps!!
So as of today it is only 19 sleeps until I start my DTS. That makes it only 18 sleeps until I leave the country for 5 months! I am feeling so many emotions: anticipation, nervousness and joy to only name a few. For the last week or so I have been super hyper (as everyone at work can attest to that), I think that is my way of showing joy and nerves at the same time. I can hardly wait to get down there and meet a girl that I have been emailing a lot. She is going on the same DTS as I am and we have been getting to know each other really well over the last month or so. She has so many uplifting words to say and I find myself waiting for her next email. Well that is all for now. I'll try to keep you all up to date!

Church
I LOVE my church. First I get a very generous donation from the church women. Than i was told on Sunday that the church is having a free will donation potluck lunch on the 17th for my mission trip. It just goes to show you that God does provide. It's been hard for me to just surrender it all to God. Well I have to go peace out. Love you all!

Crake Sale
So for my missions trip I have decided to fund raise some money. My friend Lauren and I are doing some fundraising together. This past Tuesday we had a meal at our work place which went very well. Today we participated in the United Church Craft and bake sale. We made food jars in which we assembled soups, rice and fudge. We decided we were participating in a Crake sale as we had a little crafts and a little bake in our jars!! During this bake sale we learned a little more on the reliance on God. Our selling started out slow and it looked as if we weren't going to sell any, or very few. We had to keep telling ourselves to just rely on God and he will provide. Which he did. We were only left with 10 jars in the end out of 41. So I figure we did very well. Just want to say thanks to all who have supported us and are praying for us. Talk to you soon.

First Ever Blog

Well this is my first ever blog. This is my blog on my mission trip to Nashville. I am leaving on January 7, and will be in Nashville for 3 months, than from there we will go on an outreach somewhere over seas. I plan on this being an easy way to talk to the people back home. I will be posting pictures of my trip, as well as some of me getting ready to leave. It's been a slice.
